Elizabeth Quay will shine bright this Christmas with Lifeline WA installing the State’s biggest Christmas Tree to shine a light on Western Australians in need.

The magnificent tree is adorned with thousands of sparkling lights – representing the lives of all the brave Western Australians who called Lifeline’s crisis support line, 13 11 14 this year.

The spectacular 15 metre tree is currently being installed and will take at least 3 days, 500 man and 35 people to set up. The lights will be turned on this Friday, the 17th of November and the tree will shine bright throughout the festive season.

The impressive tree is open to the public who are being asked to help fellow Western Australians in need by shining their own light for life and donating to help Lifeline WA answer calls for help this Christmas.

Lifeline WA Chief Executive Officer Lorna MacGregor said the demand for Lifeline WA’s services was continually increasing and the charity needed extra funding to meet the demand. The festive season is Lifeline’s busiest time of year, a time when levels of anxiety, family conflict and financial stress can increase.

“We encourage everyone to visit our special tree this Christmas, and get behind the campaign by decorating their own homes and trees and donating to help Lifeline WA answer calls to 13 11 14”
