Please help Lifeline WA to save lives

“I don’t think people want to die, they just want to end the pain. We’re here to keep them here for a bit longer. Not every call is easy, and not every caller is easy. But I always leave my shift feeling that I’ve contributed something.” - Di, Lifeline WA Crisis Supporter
The Festive Season is the busiest time of the year for Lifeline WA. It is the time of the year where levels of anxiety, depression and suicide increase. It is also a time of giving and, for many Australians, appreciating what they have in the company of loved ones. Your contribution to this campaign will help us train new Telephone Crisis Support Volunteers and continue to provide our valued existing Volunteers with ongoing training and support so that they can help the thousands of people who call 13 11 14 for help.
This Christmas, the magnificent Lights for Lifeline Christmas tree will be installed at one of our city’s most popular community, meeting and celebration places - Yagan Square. The tree will be lit with thousands of lights, to represent the 46,0000 Western Australians who were brave enough to call 13 11 14 over the last 12 months. We will be turning on the lights on Friday 16 November
and would love for you to bring your friends and family along to join us.
You can also help by dedicating your Christmas tree and lights to the campaign or donating
. We encourage everyone to take pictures of their displays and share them on social media using #lightsforlifeline.
This year, our major partner, Synergy are encouraging families across Perth to not only light up their homes in celebration of the festive season, but also to support Lifeline WA. For more information visit: www.xmaslightstrail.com.au
No one needs to face their problems alone this Christmas. Your support will help us answer the next call to 13 11 14 and could save a person’s life.
