of a local call from anywhere in WA, Lifeline’s Telephone
Counselling Service offers 24 hour / 7 days a week / 365 days
a year support by comprehensively trained volunteers.
The ultimate
goal of Lifeline WA’s Telephone Counselling Service is to
promote the welfare and well being of the caller by providing
immediate support and appropriate resources to ensure physical
and emotional safety.
As an initiative
to increase support offered to Western Australians, Lifeline Peel
commenced operations on 31 January 2006 (supported by Genesis
Ministries). Two additional subcentres opened in July at St John
of God Hospital Murdoch and St John of God Hospital Subiaco. This
would not be possible without the generous ongoing support of
St John of God Health Care Inc trading as St John of God Hospital,
Murdoch, and St John of God Health Care Inc trading as St John
of God Hospital, Subiaco.
