Board and Executive

The Board of Lifeline WA plays a vital role in the success of the organisation. Responsibility for day-to-day management and administration is delegated by the Board to the Chief Executive Officer, assisted by the senior management.

Lifeline WA has been deliberate in recruiting Board members who have complementary backgrounds and skills that are aligned to the organisations strategic objectives.  Individually and collectively, Board Members strive to use their experience of business and community life to add value to the organisation as well as effectively monitor its operations.

  • Mark Hector, Chairperson

    Appointed as Lifeline WA’s Chairperson October 2016

    Mark is the Managing Director of QUBE Property Group Pty Ltd, a private Western Australian property development company, where he is responsible for the company’s strategic planning, management and capital funding. Mark has been with QUBE since its establishment in 1995.

    Mark is a qualified accountant and a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
  • Chris Carey, Treasurer

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2012

    Chris is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience in funds management, compliance, engineering, mining and chartered accountancy practice. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors.

  • Reece Waldock, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board February 2014

    Reece has held a unique leadership position with the WA public sector, as Department of Transport director-general, commissioner for Main Roads and the chief executive of the Public Transport Authority, for the last six years. He has recently resigned from the role in July.
    With more than thirty-five years experience in strategic management with particular expertise in organisational reform, Reece is also a Commissioner of the Western Australian Planning Commission and is a Director of the Australian Urban Design Research Centre.

  • John Palermo, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2016

    John is a Chartered Accountant with nineteen years’ experience in public practice, and currently head of transactional services at Palermo Chartered Accountants. His areas of expertise are in corporate transaction execution, strategic business management and business structuring. John occupies positions on a number of community and industry Boards.
  • Sasha Pendal, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2016

    Sasha is an Executive General manager at HBF Health, responsible for strategy, marketing, communications and Member services. Sasha has twenty years’ experience in senior positions in management, strategic planning, policy advice and community relations.
  • Rob Garreffa, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2017

    Rob Garreffa is an experienced Director with a long history of working in the meat and manufacturing industries. He has had a long involvement with Lifeline WA through Mondo Di Carne, his family’s gourmet butchery business which has raised millions of dollars for crisis support services.
  • Nadia Mitsopolous, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2017

    Nadia Mitsopolous has been a journalist for many years, starting at GWN in Bunbury and Albany and working at the Ten Network, in London for Associated Press and Channel Nine News. She is now a journalist and producer for the Mornings Program on ABC Radio Perth.
  • Beau Waters, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2017

    Beau Waters is a former professional Australian rules footballer and vice-captain of the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League and is now in Residential Sales and Project Marketing at Space Real Estate in Cottesloe. Beau has extensive leadership, communication and management experience that spans across property, financial, sporting and community service sectors.
  • David Pringle, Board Member

    Appointed to Lifeline WA Board August 2017

    David Pringle is the Managing Director of Pindan Capital and has proven financial and commercial acumen, and a wealth of property development experience.
  • Lorna MacGregor, Chief Executive Officer

    Appointed in January 2016

    Ms Lorna MacGregor was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Lifeline WA in January 2016. She is an experienced senior executive who has held senior roles in government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations including HBF, healthdirect Australia, Activ and Perth North Medicare Local.
